Afternoon all,

Both the open and lock buttons have split on one key fob for one set of keys our Monaro. I can see there have been folks with this problem in the past, but does anyone have any spare buttons from previous group buys etc that I can purchase please?

Thanks,
Steve.

Granby if you do have more than one set I'd be interested. Mine have gone on both the main and spare key

Sounds like a bulk order might be a plan. Think I would get a few sets they're cheap. Does anyone know how resilient are the micro switches in the fob, does it just tend to be buttons that go or are new fobs innards necessary too?

Think these were what Granby ordered previously. At this price a few spares are in order.

I ordered some ages ago but never got round to fitting them as the original ones appear glued in?

What the best way to fit the new ones?

If the answer is to just press them in and bob's your mother's brother I'll getmecoat

Just a little tip if after fitting new fob buttons you then have a problem with the buttons being too sensitive ie slightest touch and it operates or the selected function appears to have stuck on.

This may be due to the little rubber pegs on the underside of the button being a tad too long, if this is the case then carefully snip a little off the length to make peg shorter, this I did with a pair of nail cutters. The fob buttons now work perfect. Simples.

Scrape away all the remnants of the old buttons and yes they just press in. The ones Granby supplied just worked too, no need for a trim.

Time to getmecoatwink
