Hi folks, it looks like the traction control has turned off with my ABS warning light fault.

I probably need to drive to Glasgow at least 100 miles along twisty Loch Lomond and thru some twisty glens.

Should I be worried??

Thanks

I tend to turn mine off as a matter of course anyway. I find the traction control basic and heavy handed at best. My Monaro, when it does cut loose (Under provocation) does it in such a gentle manner (Mostly!) that I find the car smoother to drive without traction control.

But maybe that's just me! I wouldn't worry about the cars driving manners though. The cars are just big pussycats!
(I know, a leopard is also a big pussycat!)

Should you be worried? Only about cops on th A82 along LochLomondside. smile

In the dry you need to be trying very hard to activate anything. Easier in the wet if course, but the massive wheelbase makes the VXR8 an pretty benign slider.

Just be smooth and measured with steering and throttle application.

Remember you have 330 - 750HP. Don't know what you have.

As others have said it's a pussycat really, but like all pussycats don't prod them too much otherwise the tiger in them comes out.

If you drive like a muppet, perhaps.

If you drive like a normal sane person, then it will be perfectly fine.

I actually find the traction control dangerous due to its inability to safely deal with a slide. It's fine to drive without. Just feed the throttle smooth you can drive like a muppet still
