I don't understand how but something weird has happened. I went to tighten my supercharger belt and found the alen bolt grub screw had snapped and was hanging on by a tiny bit of thread. Just a quick question for you guys, my tensioner needs taking off due to a snapped alen grub screw and I was wondering if I can just take the three alen bolts out of the top. Will the tensioner just lift off and bolt straight back on with no probs? Or is it a supercharger off job?

Thanks Neil, I'll get it off over the weekend to see what's what.

I'm pretty sure that you can get at enough of it to remove the tensioner unit just by removing the scuttle panel.

Done this a number of times on my HH122 when changing the rear belt or tightening it up a bit. But that's on an R8 not sure if it's different on a Monaro?

It's tighter on the ro just about possible on the vxr8
At least it's a Harrop which is a lot easier to remove than the Tvs

I'm going to take it off to see whats what and I think I'll change the belt even though it's just had a new one fitted by M/fish somethings not right as it's been squeaking from the day I bought the ute(VY).

I have taken the supercharger off and got it sat on the bench which makes life a bit easier and can see what is going on. The two micro 'V' pulleys are not inline they are 0.8mm out of line which I would think will be why the belt is squealing, if you turn the S/C over by hand it has a horrible squeak noise. I will get the top pulley machined this week and get it put back on and see how it goes.
I am glad (thanks Neil) I took the S'C off now to fully understand what is what.
