Mine rattled because I have that Hurst shifter on, and the bolts going into the little adapter bracket worked a bit loose.

It is a simple fix, tighten up the bolts.

The difficult bit is getting access to the smeggers hehe

Centre tunnel trim up and out the way is nice and easy.

Get under the car, hug the transmission and undo the 4 nuts that hold the white rubber boot in place that is covering the ripshifter etc.

Tighten the bolts, then put everything back together.

Loud. It ended up more of a very loud rattle than just a vibration, and it happened with revs in pretty much any gear. There was also some play forward and backward in the stick itself, it was pivoting slightly about the point it was bolted down.

If it is only happening at those sorts of speeds, it could be the drive shaft, although I think you'd feel that through more than just the gear lever...

Hmmm - if the vibration is associated with a certain speed, wouldn't that suggest an imbalance in the prop? Prop centre bearing?
