Not specifically a Monaro box, output shaft and shifter cup are slightly different, but gives you an idea

With some labour and additional parts, this might be a better option

As for rebuild of a T56, really depends what is wrong. It could be a little or a lot, there simply is no way to tell. But parts are getting thin on the ground for some parts, as it is a very old box.
So it can be hit or miss if repair is even possible....but again, until it's open and you know what you need, just no way to tell.

Those are all for sending your box there then back again. Postage would make that prohibitively expensive, especially with no guarantee of parts availability when it gets there.

I had one rebuilt. It was under £300 for the labour, plus parts. I was lucky and only ended up spending around £450 IIRC.

Why are you asking?

PS as and when they turn up on ebay, expect to pay upwards of £1400 for a working one.

New, they're £3K ish

Are you sure it's the gearbox? What happens in sixth at the same speed (on an engine dyno of course)?
