Moving on from the wrap idea.............

OK so I probably will not get the car wrapped. A good detail.

So that means I will have a bit of spare cash to put towards either headers/cats or cam upgrade. I currently have the Wortec Sport Pac with the auto switching exhaust.

I'm really after a bit more mid to top end power. I think low down the LS3 is fine for me. My understanding is that neither of these upgrades will yield a massive power increase which is fine. I would love a supercharger but just cannot justify the cost.

My concern with the headers/cats route is the increased noise level. The 8 is my daily driver and so far "quiet" mode is great for those 4am starts. I have to confess I don't know a whole lot about a cam upgrade but it sounds like, from what I've read, that maybe it's what I'm looking for in terms of changing the power dynamic a touch.

Anyway you can probably tell I know bugger all about what I'm talking about so some advice would be appreciated!!

Fitting a cam will give you more power, but it's well over the cost of a wrap (once you include a remap) unless you do it all yourself.

Although expensive I think the only mod worth the money is a blower.

If it's mid to top end power you're after then a cam ,heads, intake and throttle body with a remap will give you exactly what you're after but as Araf says, it'll cost a lot more than a wrap

If you get your car detailed, invest in some C Quartz Ceramic Paint Protection coating or similiar, it will help keep general scratches down when washing / polishing etc and makes it easier maintenace after, even snow foam wont stick to my car now !!

I've been hearing more and more about this. Is it something you do yourself or a specialist thing?

You can easily DIY, just follow the instructions, it's just something I had done by the detailer at the time.
