A friend has recently bought a 57 reg no ark and within a week he had to replace the battery, then a few days later the battery is flat again. Does anyone know of any known problems which would cause battery drainage?? The car is used as a 2nd car so is parked up for maybe 2-3 days at a time and everything is standard on it, ie no added audio equipment or alarms.

Any pointers appreciated

Just check the boot light and glove box light are definatly going off when in closed position, I had that once causing battery going flat when car not used for a few days.

Drivers courtesy light switch jamming used to be common on monaro so the interior lights and radio would stay on when you exit the car.

Mine had a similar problem checked the usual places, turned out to be the complete radio unit that was draining.

I pulled the stereo fuse to confirm, no drain issues, did some research and it's something that pops up in the states.
No fix for the unit so it will be replaced with a double din unit
