Portsmouth International Kite Festival - B H Aug w/e
Discussion
Just trying to see how many people would be interested in attending the Portsmouth International Kite Festival which is held on Southsea Common, 27th, 28th & 29th of August (Bank Holiday week-end) and I am suggesting the Sunday (28th) for displaying our vehicles.
You will be invited to join in with my smart friends, we will have enough space to make a complete circle of cars, have a picnic in the middle, whatever.
I have contacted the Kite Society for permission today. I've been twice with smart lot.
As ever, we should be the only cars on the Common apart from the exhibitor’s vehicles and with good weather this should be an outstanding event. Basically we will not be subject to admission or car parking charges and you have the option to take in all the other attractions if you do not want to be manacled to your car all day.
It is a very colourful event with hundreds of kites flying with participants from all over the world and has proved in the past to be a good day out if nothing else.
Don't really need absolute confirmation now but it would be nice to see how many Holdens might be involved. I would guess about 15 smarts at the moment.
No doubt will find some pics of previous events but for now some links to the kites
