Going to order about 10 stereo wiring harnesses, so if anyone was interested in fitting a seperate stereo system, you will be able to plug straight into the exisiting wiring harness.

Let me know if you want one.

Yeah, already had you down for one..

Need to find someone who deals in stereo's. Want to find a MP3 player, with Audio In... proving a little difficult to find so far..

Hint: Search for "AUX-In" or "iPOD Ready" systems:

e.g:
SONY (IN-CAR) CDXM7850
SONY (IN-CAR) CDXR6750
PIONEER (IN-CAR) DEHP8600MP
PANASONIC (IN-CAR) CQC5300
KENWOOD (IN-CAR) KDCW5031
ALPINE (IN-CAR) CDA9847R

Some header units require an additional AUX adaptor depending on whether you want a CD Changer fitted as well as the AUX Input device. e.g:

Pioneer iP-RCA Auxiliary Input Adaptor (equiv. CD-RB10) [Withough CD Changer]
- or -
Pioneer CD-RB20 Auxilliary Input Adaptor [With CD Changer]

It's a tad late for you Jace, but others thinking about doing the CarPuter might want to look at the 'Gain 7" InDash LCD Monitor with VGA & Touchscreen':

http://linitx.com/product_info.php?products_id=685

You could have the Touch screen taking the upper DIN slot & a normal 1 DIN header unit taking up the lower. Just depends on how much functionality you want from your CarPuter.

Yeah.... thinking of getting one, or making mine into one of those. Mind you it is twice the price of what I paid for my screen.

They will be there on Sunday, so might look at getting one. Apparently 5-10% discount on stuff.

Think i have decided on one of the head units, but have to be careful, as I don't think it is quiet a double din. Got another stereo that I might use in the meantime that came out of an ambulance that I use to have.

There are different ones you can get... if there is a particular head unit you want to hook it up to, you can get those plugs already fitted.
