Further to my ranting in the Pirelli or not to Pirelli Topic.
Will, mentioned that wider wheels were not available in the U.K. I could well be wrong, but I think that Ronal Wheels supplied by www.advancedautosport.com may fit HSV's.(click on the PERFORMANCE picture then WHEELS)
When fitting wider wheels on a previous car, I had the rear arches ground down & the trim refitted, this stopped any rubbing. Guess this could be done to our cars as well.
Hope this helps.

In the past, I have had the offset machined down on a pair of rear wheels. Basically just skimmed off a few mm.
Just depends on how keen you are for wider wheels as you might find some that will fit with a bit of work. Must be some available in Aus./USA?

I think we had better be a bit careful here!
Chevy/Jag wheels are 4.75 inch PCD on 5 stud. This works out at 120.65mm. Holden now use (from VT series I believe) 5 stud on 120mm PCD. I've tried fitting a wheel from my Chevy onto my VU Ute. It almost fits, until the nuts are almost tight, them it will bind up.
I have an article from Street Machine (Aus) on this subject, I'll try to find it if I can.
I do seem to remember it telling stories of broken wheel studs ( not very nice - at ANY speed! )

Do what i done guys.Having access to machinery i just re pitched the centres by .0128"(.32mm).The nuts fit into the chamfer not the hole dia: which has plenty of clearance on the studs.Any precision M/C Shop would do this for you and then you have a much greater choice of wheels.Wheel supplier offered to do this but as i had facilities i modified myself. As you appreciate the spigot dia: locates the wheel concentric.
I appreciate not everyone would wish to go this way,but it is an perfectly acceptable option.
Respect your comments and did not make it clear on my first post.
Done track days for 3 years on these wheels and no probs: so far.
