Opps.........Race Car Broken!!!!
Discussion
Here's what happened,
The lead up to round one of the British GT Championship saw EE-SPORT have a very emotional start.
All indicators were pointing to a fantastic start to the 2005 season, lighter car, more power and a more experienced team. But it was not to be.
Late Friday night before the opening round there was the sweat and harmonic sound of an Gen-3 LS engine screaming at 6350 rpm whilst producing more power than the team could have hoped for, then a race car development programs worst nightmare struck, freak engine component failure! No other parts for the EE specification engine were in the country and 10 hours until EE were supposed to be on the grid at Donington.
Team Owner, Allen Orchard made the painful call "we will not be racing at Donington" Orchard said "It was encouraging to see our car get wheel spin in 6th gear on the rolling road! But it was not to be this time, I really felt for the guys, they had done amazing things in a very short space of time in addition to the great work that was achieved over winter. We enter our 2nd year of a 3 year development program and I look forward to repaying the sponsors, team members and supporters with a solid on track performance soon"
Look forward to seeing her back on the track,
All the best
