Anyone actually discovered a longterm solution to stop or at least reduce the brake squeal from AP Racing brakes? I was going to phone AP next week, but thought I'd ask here first.
I had 4pot AP's on a previous car & they were also noisy, but these 6pots are really loud. I've tried the normal method of coating the back of the pads, with various different copperslip type products.

Sorry to hear that, I have no squeal issues to date on 30,000 miles and just fitted 3rd front pad set. Admittedly I keep a hose beside the car and douse the dust away quite regularily from the calipers.

Yes I have the same problem now and again. Worse when you've been in stop / start traffic for a while and are only using the brakes lightly. Found that coppaslip did improve the problem a bit .... but has not cured it totally.

This is what LSV told me:

The six pot fronts have 3 different sized pistons ... small / medium / large ..... apparantly the problem is caused by the smallest piston oscillating during light braking. Apparantly some springs (porsche sourced) need to be fitted inside the smallest piston to set a bit of pressure behind it and hold it against the disc a bit to stop the squealing.

Thanks, not that keen on messing about with the calipers unless AP themselves want to do it!
They squeal if clean or dirty.
I'm so used to it, I don't really mind, but this w/end the weather was really nice & driving with the window down made me reallise just how noisy they are.
Still love 'em though!

Ferodo DS2500 are the pads used by the OEM,and Pagid RS pads are also recommended, but squeal shims must be fitted with Pagid. This info supplied to me from brake manufacturer.

Using Ferodo but not sure which type. Still on the original set after almost exactly 2 yrs(no track days since fitting!).
Just spoke to Mark who tells me LSV now use a slightly harder Ferodo pad, which I guess is what Will has.

From my experience the harder you go the more squeal you get
