04 VXR for sale
Discussion
There is another 5.7 VXR on E Bay and the reserve is, wait for it....
£35K !
(WTF?)
The fact that the guy's next car, a new VXR 6.0, (much improved over his) is costing him under £37K has not, obviously, made him realise the true value of his current one.
Hell, he wasn't even the first owner, either.
Dream on mate, you'll be lucky to get £29K.

Would prefer the exclusivity of a 5.7, the wheels, the boot the dynamics, the ease and cost of enhancements and the security of knowing that it is fully tried and tested in its HSV installation.
All an intangible value. But enough for me not to have bought a 6.0 (for now!)

I think that possibly although it's a mundane thing to consider in the scale of things, that the 5.7 VXR values will stabilise quite well when people realise the significant lack of boot space in the new models. It
won't affect things for the true enthusiast but a serious consideration for someone maybe coming from another marque.

The astute buyer would buy a 04 VXR for 28-30k, put BIG brake kit on, cat back exhaust and engine remap. And have a much quicker/cheaper/individual car than buying new 6.0.
Could use it for track days, and see off 99% of things on road.
And keep extra money for buying whatever else they saw fit.
