VXR Demo

Our 2005 VXR [VZ] arrived last night, 1st impressions are WOW ! We are now going to spend any spare time on perfecting the following, using our car as a guinea pig:-

1] WRC stage 1 ECU remap.

2] WRC stage 2 ECU remap with S/S headers,sports cats and cold air intake.

3] WRC stage 3 is all of above plus cams, flowed heads etc

The VZ with it's dual exit twin exhausts is so new that production of performance cat back pipes is only being finalised tonight in Australia, [confirmed this with our supplier this morning by telephone] so our 1st systems should arrive here within 2 weeks.

Without sounding negative, it would be nice to know what packages can be done on 04 cars. Email seems to go unanswered!

What make are the 05 exhausts ?

Hi Brian
Sorry for taking a while but we have been awaiting the arrival of our VXR and our CV8. The CV8 will still be a while so if you dont mind working with us on using your car for development we can act as soon as you wish.

The packages are the same in priciple for 04 or 05 CV8 or VXR both models/years respond similarly to the same alterations. The actual map values may differ slightly but in essence the actual hard components will be similar year on year.
i.e. Same headers for 04 as 05 5.7litre etc
We have not as yet had an 04 car alongside an 05 car to guage smaller differences.
The headers, pipes, cold air etc are all being manufactured on an exclusive basis for WRC by an established tuner in Australia.

On sraight thro' tailpipes Picador have genuine Holden pipes for 04 monaros. I Know!!!

I would like a full exhaust system, (minus the cats. ideally), from the exhaust ports backwards and any engine re-programming necessary to ensure the mixture stays correct.
Am looking forward to seeing the prices.
There is a lot of pipework on a Monaro, so can see it being pretty expensive.
