Well its all good @ the mo.
I met Caspy at my local Vauxhall dearler on Thursday afternoon for a informative chat about the Monaro, had a look around his VXR & heard the lovely sound of the engine through the upgraded exhaust. ( Cheers Caspy )
After leaving there was in love with the Monaro even more, so I booked a test drive at a Vauxhall garage ( for saturday afternoon ) in Essex that had a Cv8 coupe. But went I arrived I found it had been sold in the morning so I got to take out a 350hp 05 Monaro.
What a stunning looking beast it was to in met black.
After a test drive & doing 120mph in 4th & cruising in 6th @ 1600rpm I was impressed.
The ride is smooth yet firm when needed for corners & the seating is perfect. As for the acceleration, well I can say its so so different to the Punto I have now.
The Punto seems quicker off the line & through acceleration where as the Monaro feels slower But then you look down at the speedo & see the needle in the 3 figure side of the mileometer you relise just how quick it is when you still have 2 gears to go. You do get there quick but its a different kind of quick, like a less argent & relaxed quick & I like that.
All I need to do now is sell the Punto & I'm on the hunt for a black or red Monaro but the Cv8 coupe model.

Does it have to be a black or red one? I'm considering selling mine and upgrading to a VXR.
I have an '04 Silver CV8, mint condition, 8500 miles, with a few mods: Linden stage 2, ripshifter, AP brakes. It's putting out 350 bhp ..... at the wheels
