I know this has been posted many times before, but it was my turn last night.

No temperature, No fuel and 200mph on the speedo (no matter what speed I was doing).

Car has done just over 4000 miles.

It has just about corrected its self today - speedo is now 5mph out compared to the digital one.

Hi Carl,

That's interesting, my VXR did it around 4000 miles as well. Sorted itself out after switching ignition off and back on again. Analogue speed now seems to read about 3-4 mph low compared with digital one.

Mine did it again yesterday evening too - about the 5th time in 11 months. Switch off and restart (several times) sorted it out.

Thinking about previous occurrences, it seems to happen to mine mostly when the car is parked in the evening (6-ish) fully warmed up, then I go out later and start it up after it's spent a couple of hours cooling down but hasn't cooled fully. It goes haywire either straight from starting up, or a couple of minutes later.

I use the digital speedo all the time (which is unaffected) so it doesn't bother me that much.

You gotta check this out:

Instruments went berserk again. Wonder if we'll ever see a Monaro doing this speed for real!
