Just out of interest
Discussion
I have had my Monaro 6.0 VXR for just over 3 weeks now and my son is just about to get a BMW (M3) about 2 & a half years old.
Who's going to win in the 0-60 race and the top speed race. BWM is limited to 155 mph @ the moment, but I have a feeling that this restriction will be taken off.
I used to have a Mondeo ST200 & my son Audi TT (225 bhp)so I think he had a slight edge, but hopefully the old man can show him a clean pair of heels.

I had a late-model M3 and I would say that the length of track will determine who wins the top speed run.
The BMW (de-restricted) will not be beaten, unless the space is big enough for the Monaro to get near peak revs in 5th, it's top-speed gear, if you wish.
400bhp and 1658lbs plays 343bhp and 1495lbs.
The Monaro edges the power-to-weight but remember how free-revving the BMW is.
Down to driver skill, is probably the most accurate answer, but at £10K cheaper, I'll still take the brute over the smoothy anyday.
