oil temp gauge

My oil temp gauge seems to be sticking! the needle goes up to an indicated 75 degrees and then stops.
Oil pressure gauge and temp gauge work ok, any ideas about freeing it up?

The only experience I've ever had of 'sticky' gauges was on a Honda CRX. Probably due to a combination of age and slight damp. My solution was to remove it's cluster and manually check the movement. The movement was not as free as it should have been, so I used a modelling oil applicator ( https://www.track-shack.com/acatalog/Gaugemaster-G... ) like this one to put a dot of oil in the centre of the movement.

Which to my surprise worked !
