A previous owner has removed the Vauxhall badge from the boot of my Monaro CV8 but there is still a little glue residue.

Does anyone have any tips for removing the rest of the glue without damaging the paint work?

Or white spirit. Just give the area a polish afterwards smile

Try WD40, I have found better than the other 2 suggestions several times now.

Yes, WD40 works well, then use something "light" to clean off any oiliness it leaves.

Wonder Wipes do a really good job, but I'm not sure how happy I'd be using them on paintwork.

Try a gentle go with a hairdryer as it heats up the glue and can then be easily removed by wiping with a damp microfibre

I take it front and rear badges both remove , i don’t want to take the front one off and have the holes left over

Front one is stuck over the Holden moulded grill, it's a pig to get off, i removed the grill and warmed it with a hairdryer, it still took a good 20 mins to remove it. There's a couple of pins and just a shed load of adhesive.

Anyone know where to get Holden replacement badges at a reasonable price. I've looked and the ones I've seen are very expensive. I want Holden badges for my CV8.
