Hello to all regular contributors, I have been following the forum for a few months now,and enjoyed your company at the ace cafe in Jan, (even got my pic in T.V. mag). So when the time came to stand big and order a car I felt I had reserched the machine well enough. With the advice from the forum members and and tryng my local dealers I eventually ordered my car from Picadors the forums favourite, although not local about 70 miles I thought Road trip. I did not meet Graham but delt with Matt and he handled everthing well, made me feel at ease got me I feel the best deal at the time with the Px etc. So When I picked it up on Fri 13th (no superstitions here) I felt I knew the car already, walts and all. The drive back up the M3 was steady at 75mph and avaraged 26mpg.
quite a bit of attention from other drivers even one trying to use a cammera phone in the fast lane whislt overtaking!!.Nearer home the traffic got back then the engine warning came on and misfired for a while,I turned the car off restarted and it cleared. The next day the same thing happened but whislt i was driving at about 50mph just about pulled up in the lay-by and the engine cut out altogether, leaving me now trying to avoid the curb with no power steering. This time the hot smell from the car was worring thinking about the fire extinguser in the boot, i popped the bonnet no signs of any leak or smoke or any wrong doing. Thinking about calling the recovery people, and wondering about the sense in buying a car so far away from the dealers, When it seemed to have cooled down the car stated fine and drove home well.On sunday more people want to see the car felt quite embarrassed, to say that the Thunder from down under was not well!!.I contacted Matt on his day off and he promised to sort what ever needed to be done on monday. I drove locally on sunday with no problems, The solution would be for it to be recovered to Picadors, but all is well, Call into Lance owen and they check the fault codes for me and tell me that the car is fine and running well I agree with them, The misfire had been triggered by a fault with the Crankshaft sensor, and camshaft sensor which is loosly connected with the on going glitchs with the instruments thanks to the technician at Lance owen for giving my confidence back, the car is my daily driver for a while. All is well and starting to stretch the legs it is a great car and exceeding my expectations. Pictures to follow if i can email them to be posted.

Thats is lovely.
I'm waiting to receice my new car (CV8) from Graham.
I did the same as you, I live in Kent & Southampton is about 2 hours away but from what I've read & my dealings so far Graham/Picador's seem the right way to go when it comes to buying/owning a Monaro.
I'm so looking forward to the phone call to tell me its ready to pick up.....
& of course the long drive home & seeing the reactions of other people/road uses as I cruise by
