Anyone done this on their Monaro?

Timed my car over 500 metres earlier this evening, cruise set to 90, 2 timed runs both gave a real-life figure of 89.5. That's pretty accurate! Haven't done it for any other speeds yet.

Are they all this accurate or is mine flukey?

I use a road angel GPS speedo on the dash and yes they are almost identical, so don't coast past speed cameras thinking you have any margin of error !!!

I think VXR cars tend to under read from the factory, mine was showing 50 mph and it was actually doing 48.

just like Dan The Man I have a Road Angel 2 and they read within 1 mph at constant speed. I agree with caspy usually there is a 5mph error on speedos (reading high) of course you tend to get used to this and cruise past cameras accordingly. I now know to my cost (£60 & 3 points)that the Monaro is accurate.

I can say that the Commodore's Speedo is also accurate. Collected my very first points on Saturday at 07:11 along the inside lane of an almost empty M3 between Jn11->Jn12. Had the digital speedo on and the cruise control set to 85mph. Their stop watch setup had me down for 85.77mph. Even the RoadAngel/Snooper wouldn't have saved me from the cloaked X5 parked at the top of the on-ramp

Jeez, how unfair is that!! Empty motorway, perfectly safe speed - "you're nicked." Someone keys your car - "sorry, we're not interested, here's a crime number for your insurance, now sod off we've got speed traps to go and man."

Justice it ain't. Feel for you, mate.
