Anyone else itching for winter to end?

So my car has been SORN’d for its first winter and I’m just itching to get it out on the open road again.

Anyone else feeling the same?

Making do with a weekly start in the garage

Yup. Trouble is winter seems to get here again faster every year

I don’t Sorn , i just hope for dry days , but even dry days seem few and far between , roll on summer months

Mines been in the garage on a trickle charger since October, for the fifth winter in a row.
Looking forward to spring, MOT in April, then back on the road for summer.

Just bought an Astra VXR to do the daily stuff though, so the itch isn’t as severe as it has been in the past.

The last time I was out on the highway was a sunny day last September
I must say I'm really looking forward to getting it serviced and back on the road.

Not bothered by the winter weather I use my car all year.

Mine lives outside and I use it whenever I can..

This. I try to avoid the days where there’s lots of grit on the roads, but otherwise the winter can be great fun in a HSV

Yes, me too!
1st of April it will be getting taxed and then its up to AAS for its LS7 clutch change.

I’m not an expert, but was always advised against doing this.

Mine gets put away in October/November and isn’t fired up again until March/April.
Been doing this for 5 years and never had any problems.

Oddly enough I fired my car up today and had it running for about an hour. I ran it up and down the drive a couple of times and had everything switched on for good measure. I usually start my car up twice over a six month period.
As above I've never had a problem....yet.

I’ll only run it for 10min and I turn the a/c on for a bit. Sometimes I moved up and down the driveway.

I don’t like idling for longer as the LS motors heat up quickly and I feel that modern cars rely on some airflow at moment to cool the motor

I fire mine up once a month on a nice dry day, and take it around the 'block' where no gritters are used. Gives all the rotating parts 5 minutes exercise. I give the A/C 5mins too, hopefully keeps all the seals lubricated.

I avoid the salt too, but damp days hold no fear for me these days having ABS and traction control.

My last 2 performance cars were TVRs and had no such gadgetry.

No itching here either, the Ute is used daily and the Monaro as and when for some slightly more exbuberant fun

The PSS on the rear of the Monaro are quite old and it's basically like having wooden rear wheels when it's cold out now, makes it quite hilarious.

Too stormy to ride the bike, the cars are all wrapped up warm and it seems to have been raining since September.

The upside is the climbing in Scotland will be epic once it calms down and the arvo risk drops.

Couldn’t help myself and had to get it out yesterday on the private driveway...man made me smile just doing that.
