Just wondering if anyone who is going down the brake upgrade path are interested in selling their brakes?

Would be looking for disc's and calipers.

I have the original HSV 4 pot system from my VX GTS. Red calipers with HSV embossed in silver. Sure you know what they look like, made by Harrop I think.
The front discs are slightly warped, due to the the car having done hard braking (unsympathetically) for various magazine articles & I finished them off on a track day.
Only need a slight skim though.

Hi Raggyman, I was going to Ebay them for £500 but never got around to it. How does £400 sound?

Sounds good to me... Fairly sure that they will fit straight on, but not sure. Might have to check it out and put one pair on.

I have an 04 CV8 and acquired some larger disks and HSV 4 pot calipers. They went on OK but they had to cut back the stone guards and it was a bit trial and error - droev off on first test with an almighty high pitched squeal. Trimmed abit more and was fine after that.

I paid around the same money.

Yeah, not sure, as this one is a 6... so might have to do some modifications... which is definitely going to be interesting..

A full day of engineering work inside the car today.. finally got the computer screen in the car... will put photos up when I can.

Great to meet you Raggyman. Your car looked & sounded fantastic, a real credit to you, interesting to see as I've never had a close look at at a Holden VX before, didn't know about the front lights being different from the HSV.
Good luck fitting the Harrops, they should be a great improvement!

Thanks tom... yeah, got back here about midnight, and had a 6 am start to pick the bloke up who was machining them and drop him off to work. Can't believe the silly buggar thought that he might have been able to take them to work on his bike... Showed him last night, and he went... ummm... they are definitely meaty little buggars. Hopefully he will get time to do them today. Was going to check the callipers out later today after coming back from Southampton. Got to go down there and pick up a refrigerated van.

Anyhow, thanks again... they definitely look the part, and going to be interesting how much difference they make.
