I found the Bridgestones that the CV8 came with to be utterly useless in the wet. Even with the TC switched on, the rear end was all over the place, and that was with an unmodified car plus taking it (relatively) easy as I ran it in and cautiously got to know its limits.
I tried Uniroyal Rainsports next - good all rounders; particularly good grip in the wet (as you might imagine from the name). Not a big performance name, but recommended by the tyre chap at Picador, and they did the job admirably.
Now on F1s (on the rear only, still got rainsports on front) with a 410bhp upgrade So far so good, very impressed in all conditions so far experienced.
You'll probably find that you go through a set of rears often enough to try most of the tyres out there in quite a short time

Big fan of the F1's as an allrounder, great grip in the wet.
Hated the SO3's.
Liked the Conti SportContact2 & this remained on the rim, outer wall disintergrated, during a blow out at high speed, very impressive, no damage to the wheel!
The Zero Nero's sound good & I would expect them to be better in the dry, but never tried them.
P.S F1's won the Autocar performance tyre test, test car was a Monaro!

Got Dunlops and done 18,000 miles on them (lots of motorway and some very heavy right foot hooning but I tend not too in 1st gear which is where most damage is probably done) and there is loads left, although recent 'changes' are putting paid to that!
Not bad in the wet for lateral grip but slip quite easily under power.
Serious snake action in both 2nd and 3rd in the dry forget TC I can't drive mine anymore with it on (did not have it on much before)
