I did 3 runs in the end before the rain sent us home...

1st 14.580 @ 99.78 mph
2nd 14.589 @ 100.47 mph
3rd 14.603 @ 99.53 mph

I was expecting alot better but then I seem to forget its a big car & I haven't got the launching correct yet.

Great to meet the guys that went & a shame more werent running & thanks to Roger for letting drive the ute & now making me want to spend money on a Ripshifter :) & a new diff !!!!!

When will it end......

Nice one.
You ran and had a go and that's cool.

Would have loved to have been there and met some folks but Mrs N is a bit poorly unfortunately.

Maybe next time.

Fair play young man, like BN I had "relly-duty" today and could not make it out to play at ll this weekend so the car and the bike stayed tucked up inside. Which is a shame because I would have liked to make both the Drag and the Plains.. Still there will be others..
Anybody up for Snetterton on the 24th???

Rob,

I think they where great times given that you only have a cat back system fitted! It confirms my belief that with headers and a remap you could get into 13s...

I watched you run, had it not been for wheel spin youd have been even quicker as you flew once moving!

Nice to meet you and everyone else! Im just real real gutted i was to late to sign on to race

It was great to meet everyone,i only managed one run up the strip before the heavens opened up a 14.03.My ute is an auto so i left it in drive and rolled off the line, but in hindsite i would have held it on the converter as it bogged off the line(it was incredibly sticky on the track)embarasingly i was beaten by a golf.If i improve my reaction time and launch high 13's.The golf must have had a 8litre v8,thats my excuse .

There was a quick turbocharged 4wd golf there. It was running consistent low 12's. Pretty impressive.

On a 3700lb car with 290rwhp and 100mph trap speed 13.6 is possible.

Maybe Ive guessed weight and rwhp wrong, but gives an idea, you can plug numbers into calculators and it will tell you possible et etc.

Cheers people for the comments.

I've just seen a small video of my last run on the left lane & the pull away looks so slow but once rolling it disappears quick into the distance

I may well go up again next month & see if I can beat my times.....
