Have any you chaps seen this site (I am guessing some must have). Quite cheap but great reading. Loads of stuff about cars and comapnys in Oz with LS1/2/6 engines and Holden/HSV.
They feature specific owners cars each week and feature projects. There is some very serious hardware indeed! This week a modded 2002 HSV GTO with 450KW at the crank! No forced induction.
Its good as they cover how the owners have systematically upgraded the cars and planned improvements. Good for your education on how to understand why and what we can get from the UK modding crews.
A good read for those interested in finding out what you can do with these great cars!

Found teh conversion factor! Multiply the KW by 1.341 and that is to UK horsepower not Euro land PS.
So that makes 450KW 603BHP!! Ye gods. Read the article it is one hell of a machine. There is also a twin turbo CV8 which had 500KW at the wheels!! Well what must be left of them anyway,.

I have been a member at autospeed since it started, its only recently lapsed and I havent renewed it (slightly irrelevant for me atm )
a loong time ago they had a forum there which was more or less an Australian version of PH, unfortunately it was shutdown in about 2001 I think. JE and the guys who run it are very interested in the techinical stuff and aren't afraid to point out whats wrong with something, especially in their new car tests, they are also often on the cutting edge of some stuff technology wise with a strong emphasis on DIY stuff. The best part is a membership gives you access to all their back articles forever, so even though I am no longer a current member, i can still go back and read older articles, its like having your car magazine collection online. Definately the only modified car magazine worth reading Australia, and about the only one still interested in practical performance. Highly recommended
