I was wondering if you lot know if there is an oil light on the dash for the Monaro....

I have to admit that I've seen one but working on cars all day I've noticed they all have a wee picture of a red oil can next to the battery light & this only appears on start up as it goes out after about 3 seconds of the engine running.

Now how would I know if the Monaro was out of oil ???
Why does it not have a light ?

I changed the oil last week & still didn't see a light.

Can some body explain please :)

The graphic display in the instrument cluster will flash up the picture of an oil can, bleep, and suggest that you check oil.

Er yes & its not in the Glove box

Anyway I was asking why it doesn't have a light on the dash that comes up every time you put the ignition on....

So in other words it will only come up on the display in the middle if it needs oil.....

So I have nothing to worry about.

Thanks

Cheers Brian.

If it isn't Dave than I will take that comment back.

It just seems strange to me that the Monaro's don't have a visual oil pressure warning light to show you good oil pressure on start up.

*Ps Dave, might be worth changing you password *

Similar situation with the battery charge light which is described in the manual. However it does not work if the pod is fitted with the battery voltage and oil pressure dials!
