Just bought a 5 litre VS ute to keep the Monaro company. Struggling to find parts (obviously). Long shot, but I was wondering whether anyone knew of one being broken. Or any other commodore from this generation (VN, VG, VP, VR, VS).

Thanks,
Alex

A few places in Oz to look at.

www.rarespares.net.au
www.ebay.com.au
www.holmart.com.au

There probably won't be much OEM stuff about, but there is a lot of aftermarket stuff around. Service stuff should be easy.
www.dba.com.au and www.bendix.com.au for brakes.
www.rycofilters.com.au for filters.

I did own a VS V8 sedan many years ago, back when you could order the base models with every mechical option.
Is it an s pac or one of rare later blue SS versions?

Thanks for the links. Thing is one of the items on my shopping list is a windscreen... Just got a quote of £4000 for delivery from Aus😂😂

It's an executive (base model I believe). But has some features on it that must be options:

Electric mirrors, cruise control, speed warning computer, remote locking, air con.

But for some reason has wind up windows....

Also doesn't have the nice front lip on it that the higher trims had. So trying to get one of those too

£4000 for a windscreen. gulp!
I will bring it over business class for that, in the hand luggage! wink
I have read about custom glass places over there, not much of that industry down here.
Surely Pilkington Glass UK would be able to get the dimensions from Pilkington in Australia and work out how to make it?
Even if it is £1000 that would be a quarter of a win.
Rarespares has the moulding that goes with it.

Pilkington Classic said they don't have the tooling for it so that isn't an option, annoyingly. Currently exploring getting a plastic race screen made based on my cracked one (which would hopefully be around £400, which is starting to look like a bargain, so hopefully it's possible). If that doesn't work I'll look more seriously into getting one shipped (the 4k delivery just came from a quick look but I'm sure there must be much cheaper options, especially by sea).

I also really want the S pac front lip and I'm currently waiting to see if any of the companies in Aus are willing to cut one in half so they can send it by Australia Post, which is so cheap compared to the couriers.
