Yep, I’m the same, a white or silver GSE for me.
Back in the day they always seemed to blast past me in the outside lane no matter what I was driving !
Looking back the overall concept of the Monaro together with the floor pan and suspension layout are pretty similar to the Monza so you’re not far out really.

Back in the 80’s a friend of mine had a Cavalier coupe, a good car it looked good handled well and pretty quick too. Obviously it went up against the Capri ( my brother and I both had one ) but I think the Cavalier was a better car. I’m not sure what the Monza competed against though, maybe a BWW ?
I always thought it odd how Vauxhall and Opel were sold at the same dealers!
