I am pleased to confirm, as a UK HSV owner, I have received an invite to visit HSV in Melbourne during my imminent visit.
I would be happy to take across any questions or requests that you may have. Let me know if you have any burning issues or queries and I'll put these forward on your behalf, getting back to you on my return.

I'd love to know if the 4dr will be imported into U.K via Vauxhall in the future, although I guess that will not be confirmed until much nearer the time, if it happens.
Also do HSV plan to use the 7.0 litre engine?
Hope you have a great trip & look forward to hearing about the factory visit.

Hi Paul P7VXR
The first time I went, I turned up unannounced and just said i'm a HSV fan from the UK. The receptionist called the Promo managers assistant down from upstairs and she showed me around. After the tour she took me up to meet her boss and he gave me a couple of Monaro promo CDs. They're called DVDs now of course. The Monaro had not long been released down there so these were very collectable and much appreciated. When I went again the following year, there was nobody available. The time of day could be crucial too, don't go around lunchtime, probably safest to call first. They're very obliging people so i'm sure that if you ask in advance there won't be a problem, especially when you tell them you're an owner from the UK. It's a great visit for HSV/Monaro/Maloo owners, and fans alike, such as me! The factory parking lot has loads of them and there are usually some managers cars parked outside reception. Reception has a good selection of merchandise too, although that is readily available at dealerships. You've got plenty of time so drop them a line or phone. You'll love it.
I'm going down again in March but won't have time for another visit, plus 'er indoors won't be keen to sit outside while i'm touring the factory.
Sandown Raceway isn't far away either. That's on Princes Highway which is one of the main drags out of Mlb on the way to Dandenong. Some of the V8 Supercar teams are based in and around Dandenong.Larry Perkins is based at Moorabin airfield, also not far from HSV.
Good luck mate

Stu Harris will verify this but from what I have been told. When the Monaro is no longer available here in the UK (around this time next year), the 4 Door will be imported sporting a Vauxhall badge. It will also be available in the Auto.
So great news for you guy's, especialy the ones with family's
Regards Rob.

Richard, there are a couple of things.
You could talk to the guys about in car entertainment. I know in Aus there are no traffic jam's but in the UK we would like a bit better radio.
Also you could see if there are any new models a round the place you know the type, 4 doors look great.

Have a great trip - you will find that most of the Aussies are as loopy as you.
See if you can find out whether HSV is planning to produce a supercharged version from the factory. Rumour earlier in the year was that PWR was trialling its PD S/C (similar to the Harrop Eaton) for HSV.
You might also ask why HSV never built a car as bonny as a 2004 CV8?
