Hi guys, I know many have reported on Ripshifters before. I had one fitted last week. What a difference I can now change gear faster than a supermodel .

For those who have not driven a car with one you must it is a truly remarkable change.
Second to third is amazing, yet it improves the normal tootling around driving experience as well, yes even reverse is easier first thing in the morning.

They guys at Monkfish did it again, they fitted the Ripper in a short morning, explaining what they were doing all the way, looking after my baby with a great deal of care. (even broke some of my lap times on PS2 Grand Tourismo :driving:)

yorkie.

Glad you think so much of the rip shifter, That will be my first mod,When the funds appear!! I tried out the shifter in Duncan's Commadore and the shift action was amazing all that has ever posted about it seemed true and some. The only question i have does it make much more noise, I am not worried about slight noises, just the abilty to cruise normaly at motorway+ speeds!!

Quick question about the Rippy.....doesit actually look different asthetically inside the car. I cant remember hat it looked like when I saw Caspy's car. So question is really whether or not the original gearstick remains?

There is no deterioration to cruising noise, and the installation will look exactly as the std car, gear knob and all.

looks the same but feels very different. No increase in noise just clean quick shifts... Somehow the gates feel closer 2nd to 3rd now feels straight up.

Its is similar to a thermos flask in that you put hot things in and they stay hot when you put cold things in they stay cold..... how does it know the difference?

Well the shifter is the same it seems to know exactly which way you are going in the box and that is where it goes even when you do it quickly (usually my problem. It totaly changes the feel of the car.
