Maybe, did you drive any others? There is a little shake at idle. It means its not girly.
Otherwise you can get it scanned and/or tuned to see if its running right.
If its untuned you will wake up some more KW in any case.

If your idle seems shaky, and the car with it, it's just the cylinders getting frustrated that you're not putting enough go juice through them Every individual detonation in each cylinder generates an instantaneous pulse of torque, and as the engine is mounted for rear wheel drive, this torque generates a reaction in the car. Just rev it when it's standing still, the car rocks to one side and back again as a reaction to the torque. Girly engines don't have this effect as they're normally transverse mounted and haven't got enough torque to get noticed.

If the engine is actually sounding very rough, misfiring or coming close to stalling then I'd say you have a problem, but roughness on its own is normal. You'll enjoy the roughness much more once you have a LOUD zorst The first thing you should do in any event IMO is get Wortec to remap the PCM. Like ringram says, you can get some extra horses and a diagnostic check in one swoop. Plus better throttle response and, amazingly, about another 2mpg! You won't look back!

Mine shakes like a dog drying itself when it's idling, but give it some gas and it's just sweet. Give it a LOT of gas and you have to get plastic surgery to get the grin off your face

Drive on!

ETA: Ross, what year/model car do you have?
