Brake Pads - Which ones??
Discussion
Got the old brakes off Tom's VX GTS, now just wondering which pads I should be getting. There is only a 1mm in it, but have a choice of two.
This is the Entry for VT-VX GTS R8 Premium
DP31014C - 131 x 70 x 16mm
But under that they have Harrop 4 Piston, which they are as far as I know, but they have a different pad.
DP3767C - 131 x 71 x 18mm
These are the EBC Brake part numbers
Anyhow, thanks for any advice...

Red Stuff pads are harder than Green Stuff. The breaks we are talking about in this thread are HSV premium breaks which are 4 pot front and rear that are fitted to the HSV GTS(UK) and HSV GTS-R(UK). I can only talk of my own experience with Green stuff in my HSV, they defiantly not as good as Red Stuff!

i wore my red stuff pads out totally in 6k miles on my monaro cv8 - take this as a word of warning to check them regularly as my disks warped as a result.
Will report as to how good they are.. The green stuff that was in there, were OK, but hopefully the Red Stuff is the shot. Actually notice that the shudder is not there, (or just getting use to it), but honestly think now that the rotors have either worn or are in better shape. Could be also that the weather is alot cooler too.
Noticed that went through alot of pad for so little of a time. Don't want to really be changing brake pads everytime I change the oil.

Yeah, the RED stuff is AWESOME, soooo much better than the Green Stuff. A little bit of squeak every now and then, but wow, don't they make you pull up in a hurry.
From Dunc:
For fronts I used Part No: DP31014C
For the rears Part No: DP31013C
If you have a look the following page

This will give you a picture of what they look like.
