I thought the C5R block was a 7.0 ??

6.3 litres,

is acheived by either fitting a 4" crank to the stock 5.7 block.
With stock 3.898" bore it goes to 382cid
With 3.905" bore (first oversize) it goes to 383cid.
(383 x 16.4 = 6281cc)

Or you de-stroke the C-5R by fitting the 3.622" crank from the 5.7 engine which will give 387cid or 6347cc and you get something that likes to rev.

As far as I'd understood (which admittedly ain't saying much):
C5R = 427 ci = 6997 cc.

C5R - 6992cc

IIRC....

LS6 street motor was 5665cc

All genIII/IV are wonderfull.
