Is it me or has anybody else noticed.....

The inside of all 4 wheels seem to be pitted & marked....
I wash my wheels ever 2 weeks to stop the brake dust from eating the wheels, even when I bought the Monaro I noticed that the back 2-3 inches of the wheels seemed to be 'polished' compaired to the rest of the wheel that is matt.
Now I washed them last night & the back 2-3 inches of the wheels are dark like the brake has damaged them, Ive seen this before on other cars where people don't keep the wheels clean....
I supose what im asking should my wheels have gone like this only after just over 5 & a half k with regular cleaning
0n an 05 plate....
Anyone else got this problem ?
Is there any way to sort the problem ???
Cheers
Rob

Agreed, the quality of finish on the wheels of the 04 (&05?) CV8s is dire! I think even Stu from Vauxhall admitted to it
I spent a week repolishing my wheels, with t-cut to try and get a good shine from the wheel paint. Still not a brilliant result...
Might have mine refurbished in a two tone silver / polished alloy (on the surface of the spokes) effect.
Anybody rec a custom alloy wheel re-furbisher in the SE or London?

Lepsoms in Kent are very very good.

Sorry forgot to say mine is an 04 CV8 but registered on an 05 plate.....
Its a pain as I don't really want to have to pay for them to be refurbed when the car has only been on the road just over 6 months

Had a new wheel on my car last year after I crunched it into a kerb - the finish on the replacement was just as bad as the original. So there's no point getting Vauxhall to replace the alloy. I still think i'd like to get mine refurbished - in a similar style to the 2 tone anthracite wheels used on the aus limited edition CV8. Will vauxhall make a contribution to the refurb costs?

From my experiences it won't matter how good the inside finish is as with the heat generated you can expect lots of black pitting, I have had my wheels refurbished a few times and no longer bother with the inside.
Fair piont Will but
In the past I've had many sets of alloy wheels on many cars & i've kept them clean & polished & this has never happened.....
Its just a pain in the arse really that to someone like me who likes the inside of the wheels to be clean it will have to be another unessary expense.
Cheers for input people.
