I cant remember if I posted this here or not.
But for those who would like to understand whats involved in tuning you may be interested in the blog I ran while I messed about with my engine.

Im happy with things at the moment, but a new cam, LS6 intake and cold air intake will have me back behind the laptop in the new year.
Im going to do a run with the stock tune, then my current tune on the dyno again before I get the cam installed. Should make for good analysis. Apparently 400rwhp should be on the cards, we will see.

If it helps, my cammed ls1's make just over 400 hp with cam 1 and an unknown extra amount with cam 2 so you should achieve something similar. I have YT rr's on 1.8 but never fitted them.

Few cams are designed with 1.8's in mind, so if using them, any cam would need to be pretty mild on lift already, in case you came into valvespring or piston to valve clearance issues.

Probably be good for a std cam though.

Not sure where you got your Inovate LC1 from, but you can source them from megasquirter Bill Shurvinton for about £130

I'd prefer to have the lift built into the cam in the first place then using high ratio rr's. 1.8 RR's may have a place with stock cams though.

I got the LC-1 from lm-1.com it didnt cost much more than from Bill. I didnt realise I could get them locally.

Mike, I have 1.8's on there already and did some checking pre cam purchase and crane actually recommend their higher ratio rockers with this cam as do Vinci who use it too. Its the 067 model cam. 220/224 @ 0.50 with 0.551 lift (0.583 with 1.8's) crane part 14400067. Im going to be giving you a call as soon as Im back from NZ in feb to arrange a visit.

I have 212 212 cam with 1:8 rockers producing about 500 rwbhp via a Vortec V2 blower
