Hi from a NEWBIE!

Hi All.I'm Dave Sweeting.I'm new on here and got to tell you all I GET MY V8(phantom black)in 6 weeks!!!Why 6 weeks?Well as of Monday 30th Jan,I'm off to Oz for 5 weeks to catch up with friends and family.I love the idea of my all time fave motor coming to England.Up until my 4 day test drive,I hadn't driven a Mona since 1978!!Bloody hell they've changed!!!I currently drive a Jag XK8 convertable.It's fast,smooth and great to drive but the new Mona grabs yer by the danglies and squeezes!!!!I LOVE IT.I'll let you all know about my exploits in OZ and I might check out the Holden "original" when I'm there(be rude not to).AHHHHHdrive it like it's hired

Sorry guys but black - shows the dirt too much, red - people look at the colour not the car, so in the absence of blue, it has to be silver!

Ignore what everyone is saying, whilst they may be extremely technically knowledgable (except me), they know nothing about colour.. we all know Black is definately best, am I right caspy/mose?

Hi Big Guns and welcome. Black is obviously quickest as it has special drag reducing paint developed for the US air force and their stealth fighter.

Hi All and thanks for the warm welcome.As I'm colour blind I have probably bought a silver/red/black,and yellow mobile rainbow.Actually I don't care!It evokes fond memories of the 70's and the original Mona!Must say though,having just gotten rid of a Java Black Range Rover,Black IS THE COLOUR(bit of a bugger to keep clean though!)But if you drive your motor you can't keep it clean anyway!I'm getting the 5.7 V8(354hp).I'll give it a go and if I become totally smitten(IF?)I'll have it "tweaked!"Please keep me informed of any planned meetings....I'd love to meet you all!!Best always....Dave

.Went to the dealers today with my kids(I only get them once a month!)to show them the new chariot and drool once last time before my OZ adventure.Asked the kids:thumbup and its DEFINETLY black and majorly cool!Apparently it makes me a "cool and desirable"Dad!Hell,I better get 2 if it's that good.
