I admit it's nothing to do with Monaros but I'm off to do round one of the MX-5 racing scholarship this Tuesday coming at Teeside Autodrome! I have to do two rounds, one end of Jan the other early Feb, then after the second round they decide who goes through to the semi-finals. There's only one place up for grabs in the MAX5 Challenge (MK1 MX-5 racing championship) so I'll have to ditch the blondeness for these occasions!

On Tuesday I'll be tested on track by an instructor on how well I know the racing line, turning in points etc (luckily in the past I've done a few trackdays so I know the score) then there's go-karting in the afternoon to test on team work.

I have my lucky mascot with me on Tuesday, that'll be Rob_78 then, hahahaha!

Here I am at Teeside Autodrome for the drivers briefing - and yes it was freezing, about -3 degrees all day!!

Here I am with the MX-5 06 scholarship car: (which I drove)

Me on track:

It was a brill day, thanks to the scholarship team.
Had a lot to take in and learn in a short time, but have the chance to shine again in the second qualifying round in two week's time.
Thanks to everyone who wished me luck! and of course to Rob_78 who put up with being a spectator all day x
