Don't think I'd be buying a 4 door - defeats the whole ethos of a muscle car.

I'll be getting a Mustang if that's all that Vauxhall bring in.

Dont buy a Mustang, I hired one in New Jersey recently. Very disappointed, apalling build quality and finish. Lacklustre performance, and its a ford! Stick with Chevy, has to be a 'Vette IMHO.

Agree. They call them "Rustangs" on the GTO forum!

I like my Australian 'V8Supercar' with its 4 doors, that what it all about for me, too many years watching Bathurst I suppose, I tend not to think about American hardware much.

Totally agree, I went for two 4dr's HSV's on the trot, for me the 4dr was a real Q car. People naturally expect a coupe to be fast. Having an "Omega" look a like saloon was great fun, I had some of the best motoring experiences of my life in my supercharged HSV, mainly due to the "surprise" factor. The owner of a Rosso red 355 didn't expect to not be able to overtake a big saloon & outdraging (easily) a 911 Turbo between 100-140 was a pleasing moment.
The ability to potter around in a family/business saloon makes the 4dr one of the best allround cars there is IMO. I suppose I really enjoyed the rarity value of a 4dr as well, could never fill up with petrol in a hurry though!

Ahh, the rarity of a four door, it will soon be a rarity to have a 2 door, what goes around comes around....

Unless the price is right, I can't see TWG or Vauxhall selling many 4drs as badge snobbery on saloons seems to be even more prevalent than coupes. One of the reasons IMO why Rod didn't sell more.
Most saloon owners seem to want a German badge, regardless of how good or bad the car is. Will be interesting to see what happens. I would be very tempted by a Z series R8, but I'd want it S/Charged.

What about Vauxhall and the VE model as opposed to the HSV!?
I heard whispers of possible VE platform replacing the now defunct Omega as large sedan in Vauxhalls armoury.

Maybe chinese whispers... we will have to wait and see.
