opinions on changing from MPH to KPH and other metrification

There is a bit of debate happening at the moment about metrification for the Olympics.
As an Aussie I struggle with the mpg calculation, especially when fuel is sold in litres.
Do cars other than the Monaro have a switchable dash?
Do we have strong opinions either way?

Far too much Euro invasion taking place. Whats wrong with pints etc ?? whats wrong with mph ??

We've used them for years, and never a problem.
