Underbody treatment
Discussion
I don't think they have much protection as std from OZ. I had my underside cleaned & treated before shipping - not sure wot the stuff was called - I think it ends in "...aloy" or similar??? It's supposed to contain a rust inhibitor as well as prevent penetration (maybe it was a catholic invention??
). Maybe all the official imports had it done for warranty reasons? Prof Paul is sure to know!

You can pick the stuff up at Halfords or your local Motorist Discount Centre. The starter pack which includes 5 litres cartridge can, pressure pump, spray gun, & rubber grommets is around £35 and should be enough to do the car at least once. Additional tubs can be bought in either 5l or 2.5l cannisters. I believe you can also buy it in a ready to use aerosol can.
You can also get a thick black paint on underseal from Hammerite and other companies that does the same job. I guess it's all down to preference but the Waxoyl certianly has a good reputation especially in the Classic Car clubs.
However if you've already got rusty patches they will have to be treated first as Waxoyl is only a prevention method not a cure.

Is it worth getting it treated? What with?
