For those who might have heard them (and waiting for them - you lucky barstewards) and for those that have not - got a serious close up and personal experience with these today!

Whilst I do not wish to steal the thunder (how appropriate) of the vendor (I have no vested interest) but the results are truly stupifying in terms of sound and performance.

If ever Satan was present in a car forget Christine!

Even had a herd of professional Porsche nuts going weak at the knees and wondering what on earth was happening.

If you have a 6.0 VXR you must gets these - I guarantee you will be the envy of anyone with the slightest hint of petrol in their veins.

I do not have a 6.0 VXR but based on what I saw and heard today that may change.......start saving!

As "P47ThBolt" said Satan raised his Satanic head in West Sussex and heralded the release of "Wortec's" new headers and sport cat package...............

Today saw the final dyno test on the package and conformation of the re map which comes with the pac.

The package consists of Wortec designed and UK manufactured high grade stainless headers, 100 cell sports cats, heat shields and O2 loom extensions.

I will post more details tomorrow but for now my "takeaway" is ready...........

Other than the cost... power... noise... and other good stuff, how does it affect MPG? Why am I asking? Because it's my only chance of being able to convince a certain someone that I <ahem>"need"<ahem> them.

This is my standard justification to 'er indoors

'Because the engine has to work much less harder than it did before to give the same performance it of course uses far less fuel'.

Tell her that yours "fell off on the way to work" and you had to get a replacement and that's all they had!!!

well the test pilot recorded 28.5mpg on the 60 mile trip home........

I would not say this is a guarantee but mpg seems unaffected after the upgrade.....but if it helps with your domestic situation i am sure we could find some evidence for a up lift in MPG if it helps.

How about "comes with a small block of wood to wedge under the throttle".. That should do it..

Heh.. some good ideas there.

The MPG arguement has worked in theory - I still need to sell the Calibra to get some cash together. Hmm... it's been my one disappointment since I got VXR'd - not enough noise
