engine oil

Just put some of Mobil's finest in the LS2 after the "engine service" warning popped up on the dashboard display - however won't now go out?? checked level on dipstick - ok, followed manual you know after 15mins running on level ground.... any ideas? or should I start worrying?

That has to be cleared by a dealer i believe.

I had the same thing, a dealer told me they can't reset it which is not true.
anyway posted on here some months back and got this reply...

1/ Turn ignition ON
2/ Press throttle to floor 5 times
3/ Turn Ignition OFF
4/ Wait 3 seconds
Oil indicator should now be reset

I have an '05 monaro vxr and the above actually works.

Cool. I can also confirm this works on a 2000 UK GTS (Clubsport R8)
