VXR - a few questions

Hi everyone,

I have an 05 Monaro VXR. I have a few questions which hopefully some of you can help with....

1) Picador did the ecu remap and catback exhaust. Anyone else had this done by them or someone else?. If so, what are your thoughts on it.....

2) Anyone use an ipod in your car?. If so, what accessories would you recommend?. ie.holders, maybe the use of i-trip too??

3) I find the brakes drone a bit under heavy use. Anyone discovered some areas to upgrade without going for big brake options?. ie. pads and/or brake fluid

On another note, if anyone is up for a track day, I do run a track day business on airfields so maybe we can get a group together with some good instructors. A good day out with the cars plus some very useful tuition.!.

Mike, I have an 04 CV8 & I'm using an FM transmitter on my Creative 20Gb mp3 player, through the cars ICE. It's OK - I suppose - once you find the right frequency to use it on - it goes from 87.5 all the way up to 109.9 in 0.05 steps, so finding the right one, in terms of interference, takes time. I've picked up some really odd taxi radio traffic at times!!! Other than that, I've got 20Gb of music in the car without the discs to clutter it. I leave it in the little pocket under the cd whilst I'm in the car. Don't know about the i-trip but I got a mate to get me the transmitter from the States 'cos you can't buy 'em in UK - it's a 'Belkin 2' FM transmitter, easy to use but tends to eat batteries (AAA x 2)if I'm on a long trip! Am also looking at replacing the head unit though, to a more user friendly one!
