If you do, have them stove enalmeled. This is much harder wearing. A place local does it for about £35 per wheel. Do they need refurbing as well?

excuse my idiocy (im new at this ) but i take it by refurb, you mean take out the knocks and scratches?

They arnt in bad condition at all, but i suppose it wouldnt hurt, depending on the price.

If i do have them done, is it something that lasts a while, or does it wear/come off and look awful?

If done properly, it will last ages and look really good. A mate of mine had his done last year and they are absolutely immaculate even with it being his daily driver. I'm going to get mine done this year sometime(once my wallet recovers from this bloody clutch)

I loved what the owner of the black Porsche Carrera GT (at Goodwood this morning) had done to his.....just painted the inside if the spokes black....a nice effect.

think Wolfrace do a set of 5 spoke alloys like that - flat silver face with the inner edges painted black. Fancied them for the Monaro but the flat faces would be easily damaged by any close encounters with a kerb or pot-hole.
