Bought myself some H9 bulbs from consumabulb.com for £14.50 for the pair to swap with the H11's fitted as standard. Supposed to be the best 10min mod you can do.Took a few weeks for them to get them to me but very good at keeping me informed on delivery progress. First thing I noticed is that the light now fills the lense instead of forming a cat's eye. Just waiting for total dark to see how much better they are than the originals.

Also installed a K&N filter and took the airbox out to have a look at modding it with an extra hole. Boy is that a pain in the ass to put back in!!! Decided against any additional hole for now and re-asssembled the box - then had to disassemble and re-assemble in position in car Anyone else noticed the K&N comes with a couple of extra "tabs" on one edge that tend to push it out of position? How did you get around that - did you leave them or remove them?

Finally decided to remove Vauxhall badge from grill, expecting to find the Holden Lion in the plastic underneath as I'd seen on others only to find mine had the VX Griffin in the plastic!! Then discovered the Holden Lion badge didnt cover the holes left by the VX badge very well so back went the Vauxhall badge and time to shop around for a "bigger" Holden lion.

One of those nights where you go out to spend 10mins on car and 3hrs later you wonder why its starting to get dark

Did you get the angle of the dipped headlights changed at anytime Bob? I read somewhere that they are set low for Oz specs.

nope haven't had that done - might be worth investigating further as I hadnt heard that. Certainly the old lights only lit up about 30ft in front of the car which made them useless. I spent most of my time at night switching full beam on/off depending on traffic.

Just cut the tabs off. Green Cotton ones fit but you have to cut the tabs off. There are two K&N filters available that fit, I think one has tabs and one doesn't. Difference is in the way the filter ribs are either lengthways or widthways, if that makes sense. Both the same size though.
Holden grills don't cost too much!

Yep, been there, done that There's scope for plenty of adjustment upwards without causing dazzling problems. The adjuster screws are easily accessible.

I too can confirm, adjusting them up helps a lot. Well, actually most of the adjustment came from lowering the rear suspension of the ute more than the front, but nonetheless, well worthwhile.

lifted mine a couple of clicks and it does improve the road illumination. Not been flashed by other drivers so not too high.
