Anything to look out for when removing the boot badge and the bonnet badge? Clips or anything? or just floss off like I did with the Vauxhall lettering.

The grill badge on mine was held on with 3 clips which were a sod to get at. I didn't want to just rip it off in case I decide to refit. The replacement Holden badge also came with 3 clips to secure it. They were a sod too.

Watch the boot badge! It has two clips at the 3 o'clock and 9'oclock positions (IIRC). I was sawing away with my fishing line for ages wondering why the hell it wouldn't come off. Doh! If you don't have fishing line then dental floss will do the trick. AutoGlym Bug and Tar remover will get rid of any left over residue.

The grilles come off on the sedans! It is probably easier to remove the whole bumper in order to get at the metal clips that hold the badge on at the front. That is a bit daunting when you don't know how but it is fairly easy. Make sure you order some new clips with the Holden badge if that is the way you are going.
Flaming centre caps are the exy bit, Even HSV centre caps are cheaper than the Holden ones!

Thanks for all the info. I'll wait until all my e bay orders arrive before I start ripping off the griffin. Didn't know that Doug LSV had the badges all along! Would have saved a lot of postage!

back one on 04 has no clips so should come off easy. My grill had 3-4 lugs which all snapped due to my ham fisted approach with a screwdriver. I then discovered my grill was different from dave52's and instead of the Holden Lion I had the Griffin molded into the plastic on mine. The HSV badge I'd bought from Germany was also too small for the space left by the Vauxhall badge so I ended up glueing the old badge back on for now. Just looked silly with the holes for the clips and the plastic for the Griffin showing behind the HSV Lion.
