Big thanks to Greens and Co for fitting my Sports Pac last Friday (sorry Caspy you were out on a test when I got back so I didn't get to put a name to a face).

If anyone is unsure how much better a Sport Pac makes to the car then I can tell you it is absolutely awesome.

The noise from the exhaust is as good as it gets (sounds better than the Ferrari 355 i had for a weekend and the old TVR Chimera we ran at work - yes it is that good).

I had a 6 hour drive last Friday so plenty of time to enjoy the extra poke and noise.

If anyone is thinking about this - do it.

But beware of the first 40mins as my journey went a little like this.....

First 10 minutes.

Great nice and noisy but on the Motorway droning was quite loud - thought about getting the optional silencers on as I don't think I can live with this.

Second 10 minutes.

Really like the sound now - I can probably live with the droning on the Motorway sought of ok.

Third 10 minutes

Pass a Porsche Boxter and scare the hell out the occupants - Now the Motorway droning is okay sound nice.

Fourth 10 minutes

Yep this is the mutts nuts - Silencers are stayng in the shed when I get home.

Once again a Big, Big THANKYOU

Got to agree about the noise, does sound good. I can't even remember where my silencers are, I think I might have used them as plant pots or something

As for the noise on the motorway, if I did more motorway miles I definitely would put the silencers on, the droning would drive me insane after a while!

As for the extra poke, I have to admit I didn't notice a significant difference, might just be me though lol

Finally, I think it was B055 that said that £1 for the Dartford Tunnel is the best spent pound ever, I disagree, try a multi-storey car park

Sounds great doesn't it? If you like that though you will not believe your ears when you hear it mated to headers, it simply has to be done!

Any idea roughly how much to add the headers and are there other bits to go with it.

Got to say sounds fantastic as it is.

Not sure about for the CV8 but for the 2005 VXR it is £1,750.

iirc it was around £600 to add headers to the package I was getting Doug @ LSV to quote on for a CV8. Wortec dealer pricing may be more/less

Worth noting the LSV headers are coated to stop carbon deposits building up on the inside & keep the heat within.

Wortec ones are stainless steel and include sport cats, loom extensions and remap. Have to say they look fantastic when u lift bonnet all purply and shiny!!!

Slight deviation from subject but seems almost related

If I have the headers done I am assuming that they would need to be replaced should I have a turbo fitted but would be ok if I went down the supercharger route?

take it that doesnt include the exhaust from the cats back so that'll be another £1200 or so??
