Clutch fluid boiled requiring a rapid fluid change.
Seeing as Drive in Bristol were rubbish, I thought I'd go North and try Lookers in Star City Birmingham.
Rang their service dept and booked the VXR in for the next day
. During the call, I said I wanted to upgrade the fluid, they checked and said it would be fine and I again confirmed with them as I was having to drive 2hrs each way for a 30 min job. Yes, all OK.
Day of Service:
1030hrs - Booked time of arrival.
1100hrs - Actually arrived due to RTA on M6.
1105hrs - Booked in to the Service Reception to be told no upgraded fluid in stock & they'd have to buy from another source

1110hrs - Nice waiting area. Free tea/coffee, TV & Playstation. Internet Access (but heavily restricted, not even Hotmail or HSV.org allowed!)
1230hrs - Went back to Service desk and was advised that fluid now arrived from supplier.
1300hrs - Losing the will to live. Bored, so thought I'd start my thread using my mobile web access XDA.
1320hrs - VXR still in the parking bay where I left it 2hrs 20mins ago No one has spoken to me. I'm feeling neglected.

1440hrs - got the car back... £49 Could have been worse I suppose
I asked for the reservoir to be filled halfway between Min & Max (as per Caspy's recommendation).... but it was full to the brim . I also asked for the remaining fluid so I could top up at a later date....Apparently they used 'exactly' a litre and there wasn't any left (yeah right).
Would I go back to Lookers in the future? Yes.... only because the other option is Dismal Drive in Bristol.
Overall, a long wait and a balls up on the ordering of the fluid, but we got there in the end.
3hrs 40mins for a 30-40 minute job But.... good waiting room facilities & semi-helpfull staff.
