I still have my old heads if they would be of any interest Wayne ??
Stage 1 heads by FFHP in the US, circa 63cc chambers, so they would up the CR a little.
I only used them for several months, until I built my current engine.
I also have a 230/236 on 112 LSA camshaft. It might be a tad big though for daily use. it may also require cutouts on the pistons on a standard engine, as lift is around 0.600"
I wouldnt be convinced an uprated TB would be a worthwhile early tuning step. Perhaps do a little cleaing up of your own with a die grinder.

If you are after proper heads, then the Dart offerings would probably offer the best value for money.
I'm sure Richard could offer info on quality ?? and perhaps post some pics.
I opted for Edelbrock on mine. Relatively small ports, with excellent flow ( and they were in stock when I ordered lol )
There are a multitude of head manufacturers now for the LS1.
Edelbrock, AFR, Trickflow, ETP, Dart to name but a few. I'm sure there are others.
